Ardent is recruiting for an experienced Senior Consultant/Engineer with Transport Development Planning expertise to join our newly opened Edinburgh office as part of the wider Ardent team of over 100 employees located across the UK.

Our team of transport planning specialists has a track record of supporting developments and helping to deliver transport and infrastructure solutions that promote sustainability, improved connectivity, and healthy lifestyles.

You’ll be working as part of a small team of experts, providing transport planning/engineering design consultancy advice to our clients. Through effective delivery of projects, you’ll contribute to the success of the team and ensure the development of key client relationships, helping to establish Ardent’s local presence and breadth of services while liaising with other parts of the business on multi-disciplinary projects.

Success in this role will see you take on increased responsibility for other team members, and you’ll have the opportunity to act as Project Manager on selected projects where you’ll be able to contribute positively, including through financial management.

You’ll be an experienced Transport Planner with a number of years’ experience in development management and planning. Your principal role will be focused on the project management and delivery of supporting transportation inputs to the planning process, including Local (Development) Plan Representations, Site Appraisals and Due Diligence, Transport Assessments/Statements, Travel Plans and Public Transport Strategies.
