For a Transport Planning positions, you should have either a BEng/MEng degree or HNC in Civil Engineering, or a first degree in a related subject such as Geography plus an MSc in Transport Planning/Engineering, together with a minimum of one to two years’ post qualification experience in Transport Assessments, Green Travel Plans, and preliminary highway/junction layout design and capacity analysis.
For Infrastructure Engineering positions, you will need a degree/HNC in Civil Engineering and two years’ experience, with a background in detailed highway alignment, junction layout and drainage design together with the relevant computer skills.
For Flood Risk positions, you will need a degree in Civil Engineering or appropriate science, together with a minimum of two years post qualification experience. With a background in the production of Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage strategies, hydraulic modelling, flood risk management policy and flood alleviation scheme feasibility and design.
Senior positions will require excellent report writing skills and the ability to communicate design concepts and proposals clearly and concisely to both Clients and fellow professionals, and to have the skills to negotiate successfully to achieve mutually acceptable solutions to problems.
